“The reason why Waterdrinker considers it so important to that it meets the ISO and Florimark standards is that this encourages staff to think in terms of processes. Because for an organisation is to function effectively, people must realise that there are many activities within the organisation where several departments are involved in one and the same process. Or where the output of one process forms the input for the next. It is then vital that everyone is ‘singing from the same song sheet’ i.e. that everyone works in accordance with the procedures. At the end of the day, working according to strict procedures will exude quality and reliability and improve customer satisfaction. That is something we have to do together. Or, to quote Henry Ford: ‘Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success!’ ”
