Creating a happy and healthy living environment with flowers and plants—that is what we at Waterdrinker are committed to. Our goal is to help more people recognize the importance of greenery in their surroundings. It is therefore only natural that investing in sustainability is an integral part of our vision.
IMPACT30
Together with the trading companies of the Dutch Flower Group (DFG), we follow the IMPACT30 sustainability programme, which focuses on transparency in the supply chain, people, and the planet. IMPACT2030 outlines the sustainable course we pursue together with all our partners and employees. We are proud to share that this sustainability programme is included in the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
Transparency
Trading certified products (FSI 2025) is an important pillar within IMPACT30. By 2025, we aim for at least 90% of our products to be sourced from growers with a sustainability certificate. That is why we continue engaging with growers on sustainable entrepreneurship and regularly organise grower meetings.
Climate Neutral
We are taking significant steps toward operating climate-neutrally. For example, thanks to solar panels and wind energy, we now run entirely on green electricity. In addition, we continue to focus on waste separation, recycling, and reducing packaging throughout our supply chain—everything to make our organisation and sector as climate-neutral as possible.
Only by joining forces and sharing knowledge can we make the world a little greener and healthier—both through our flowers and plants and by jointly pursuing sustainable objectives as trading companies and supply chain partners. This includes our commitment to the IMVO Covenant for the Floriculture Sector, through which we collaborate to make the entire floriculture industry more sustainable.
